Here is my downsized overland project. It's a '91 xs with a rear ARB locker and fully rebuild 3rd member. I have completely rebuilt the front end from control arm bushings to hubs. Has sway away torsion bars, bilstein shocks all around and Indy 4x4 hd tie rods. Its got the factory 4.56 diff gears and 32x11.5 falken wildpeak tires. I recently installed an ATK built 4ze1 2.6. I replaced more under the hood than I have time to list but reliability was the main goal. I also installed exedy clutch, flywheel, and hydraulics. Baja Designs lighting, tj seats, and a 1500/3500 watt inverter have been added since pics. 20180222_144443.png 20171126_114053.jpg 20171226_143623.jpg Resized_20160911_161908.jpeg 80k

Thanks, I'm at 500 miles on new engine and as soon as it's fully broken in I want to get it back on some longer trips.

Definitely, needs a few more scratches and dents so I'll have an excuse to re paint it. Keep me in the loop. Theo

Few upgrades...huge oil cooler to keep new engine happy, terra low transfer case gears, and 1 inch shackles. The tcase gears are awesome, I also removed the remote shifter assembly (linkage) and installed shifter from trooper. Had to notch the floor a bit more for clearance but shifting is so much better

Will do. I won't hijack your thread, but I'm still in the mode of "clean this thing up," "what does it need to get inspected," and "what sort of upgrades will I do." I'm going to reuse the bumpers from my last little rig (with modifications, of course) and add the second battery there, too.

You already gave me new stuff I had never heard of before, with the better low range gears, so thank you!
