Just realised this topic here. Welcome to OB!

Hopefully we can meet on some trails this year!

As messaged already we have launched the virtual OB Mid Europe campfire last year to meet virtually for the time we cannot meet in person at the moment . We have broaden it to other european regions in the meantime. The next will be tomorrow. If you like your are welcome to join for some good talks. All details in the Rally Point:

Enjoy!

Hi and welcome. I've owned Wranglers since the first one came out in 1987.... and CJs before that, I'm on my 3rd Rubicon but they have all been TJRs. My first "car" Grade 12 was an M38 and my Uncle drove a government issued Jeep in Europe, 1944, when all Jeeps were government issued. Cool to meet someone in Europe driving a new Rubicon. Looking forward to watching your adventures, one of these days I will get past London.

Heres my Uncle, somewhere in Europe, 1944.

Michael thank you for the welcome. Since you were so kind to share a bit of your history, I'll share a bit of mine. I was born in Sacramento and have been here most of the past 65 years except for a few stays away. The first was a stint in the USAF while I was stationed at Edward AFB. I bought a Baja Bug and learned to love the desert even more. Upon coming home and finishing my BA I returned to the Air Force as a navigator and was stationed at Clark AB, PI., where I met my wife of 35 years. After returning to Sacramento and playing at a golf career, I finished my teaching cedential and have now taught for 30 years. I'm not retired but am looking forward to it. So, this past year I bought a 2020 Toyota Tacoma TRD off-road and as of yet have not gotten dirt on the tires. Though the Mrs. is looking forward to Italy, I am thinking of a revisit to the Mojave and sights unseen in Utah and Arizona. As we are both still employed our dreams are unrequited. Finances may have a small factor in the consideration, as well as our half finished kitchen remodel. So to Michael and family and to the rest of the community, thank you for letting me be part of the crew.
