Hello everyone! I had to make a decision on our August trip destination as we were going to do the Idaho BDR potentially from McCall back up north towards Riggins or Grangeville. There are a number of fires along Hwy 95 in that region and so I think the best course of action is to go somewhere else. With that said Erin @Buzzbee17 John @jad3116 and I have been discussing a Western Montana Ghost Town tour that hits a number of cool places that speak to the history of our larger region. Below is the link for the event if you are interested.

This trip is subject to change based on local fire conditions at the time of the trip, but I think it should be a fun one, might even include a little of the continental divide. John has kindly offered to scout out the route so final details are forthcoming.

My wife and I got back today from traversing the Panhandle NF for the past 3 days. We popped out at Trout Creek MT. It was a fun time and I definitely enjoy her trail food!

Anyone done any recent explorations?

Figured I would post the link here if anyone wants to join in on the fun. Hoping to get a group of us to attend this year's Pandhandle Overland Rally near Sandpoint. It's 3 days, but a few of us will be doing a single day on Saturday the 21st. If we get a decent size group we can all convoy up to Sandpoint together.

Single day tickets are $40. Lots of events planned throughout the day so check out the schedule on their website. Also, kids are free and a few of us are planning on bringing the whole family up to the event. Keep us posted if you want to join and we can coordinate a good meeting spot/time.
