So, after having watched Michael's video (https://www.overlandbound.com/forums/threads/creating-overland-routes-in-google-earth.4185/) on how to create trails in Google earth I had to try it...in fact trying it immediately after watching the video and as a result was up until 1:30 AM - and I had to be up in the morning at 5:30! Oops!
At any rate, here is my attempt at doing this and I wanted to know if people were able to open this trail I created so as to know I am doing this correctly. And, if this works, then you can get a route of a place I've been to before. As for this trail, it isn't technical in any way whatsoever, if I recall correctly - I haven't been there since 1980 or 1981! - it is a twisty road, two-lane and some areas of one-lane roads. Very nice back there. It starts at the tail of Kaweah Reservoir outside Visalia, CA, tracks along HWY 198 to the turnoff at Mineral King Road, then just run out to the end. Sorry, I just realized I left off the name of the turnoff at the road in the .kmz file.
