I feel your pain and anxiety over Toyota/Lexus keys. Check out "1010 Keys" on Ebay. They have a store and are very reliable. I've spoken with several people who have used them. The fobs are not very reliable (break easy) and their are options for that as well. Luckily someone at Tandem Automotive saw the need for a stronger aftermarket fob so this bad boy was created on the 3D Printer and is only $35. No more worrying about a broken key fob.

Congrats on finding them

But if your budget is that tight, what are you going to do if something happens on the trip?
My thoughts also.

I hope you have an amazing trip!

But I could not go without having the resources for worst case senario.

Wife and I are driving to Colorado and Utah in 6 days in our 2000 4Runner with 171,000 miles from Philadelphia.

We wanted to go last year but did not have enough "in case crap happens money".

We are basically bringing enough resources for worst case. (Engine/trans replacement, tow truck home/ abandon truck and fly home)
