Well folks here are a few pics of Humphrey.

I bought him as a standard spec Adventurer, as a road only car to compliment my 300tdi Defender which I was rebuilding on a new Galvanised chassis at the time.

Here he is at the family seat

When I bought him he had the cloth interior so this was swapped for a full leather kit from Skan 4x4

I made my own rear door card mod with a flip down tray, Im going to mod this again soon to make it more snazzy

I bought this

After removing the PITA rear seats I fitted some storage boxes and the dog guard.
The idea being if it takes a tumble the dog guard should at least slow the tool box and recovery gear from the back flying through the car..........

some nork blocked up the sunroof drain holes so I drilled out the a pillar untill I can sort it properly.......

Rather a lot came out

Next the 2" lift had to go on and HD bumper, Snorkel and Diff guards needed to be fitted so a weekend was arranged with the nice chaps Steve, Cruiser, Danny and Rover Man

Rumour has it Ernie is still full after Mrs Hoovers Breakfast

More bits ready for the weekend

The box underneath contains the HD Bumper

mmmmm

nobblytastic

The calm before the storm.

Pity some ham fisted nork broke the bottom part of the air filter while washingit in the kitchen sink.............

Thankfully Ryan and Steve stepped up and I was able to finish fitting the Snorkel as planned.

Once the lift was on and the dust had settled I set about sorting out the front end, cutting the 70mm holes in the winch bumper and mounting the LED DRL lights.

The gap between the top of the steering guard and bumper has now been filled

ooh and they work

I also spent some time fannying around with the Mantec Snorkel top as it wasnt in line with the car, naughty BJTD5 had drilled the holes crooked

They say shoes maketh the man.

front diff output seal was leaking

Operating theatre is ready

Blood transfusion completed 14 months late

Finally got round to it

Well the Warn arrived yesterday and the stripdown and sort out began.

Im now not sure about my original plan to spray the motor and gearbox on the winch the same colour as the fuel filter guard.

Im thinking keep it black or red

The Rope will be orange I think.

Ok the Smittybilt finally met the Warn last night

Very Very impressed with the quality of this rope, especially the fact it had rope protectors at each end!

For those of you asking about the curve of the letters on the bonnet

So this afternoon went thus...............

Prop off

Then went round with the soapy water and round the offending bag

Best get it jacked up on the chassis before it sinks too low

Off to get a pair of new bags tomorrow, then pop Humphrey into Difflock and enjoy old skool landrovering

So after a morning at the ice rink, I tackled Humphreys leaky bags.

Picked up the bags and clips from Deeside 4x4

Drivers side first

Then passenger side.

Release the air it says........

Yeah that's all gone

Also fitted the led spotlights and removed the grille to give it the sport treatment.

pics later.

after a very clunky crunchy time moving Humphrey round the driveway with no front prop and diff lock selected, I decided driving it to Liverpool and back on Monday would be a bad idea.

So with Humphrey still out of action while I await a new prop, I decided to bolt on some bling and do the grille mod.

So tape it up

pop on the template

Pilot holes done

Fitted along with new Led spots and inspected by the gaffer

Done

Just waiting for a prop now so I can actually drive the thing!!

A few from the Arfordir Gogledd Cymru this weekend

Well I replaced the rear bumper with a HD version.

TBH its a bitch of a job to do on your own.

I also removed the rear step and pumped the inside of the rear chassis full of waxoil.

The eagle eyed will see I also fitted parking sensors into the bumper.

Very nice! I almost bought a Disco 2, and still may one day. I think they are cool rigs, I would not mind having one!
