I have yet to do anything in state but last trip I did was the Georgia Overland Trail. It's a bit of a drive from our state but perfect if you're doing a multi-day trip as well. Was thinking of checking out DeSoto National Forest or Kisatchie. I'm in the S.E part of the state as well.

I feel like there isn’t much here in Louisiana. Haven’t been out to DeSoto National Forest yet. And only been out to Kisatchie once. Definitely agree the ozarks are beautiful. Love exploring out there.
