Ham/GMRS Callsign
WL7H / wsfr417
For those with ham or shortwave listening ability, tune to 14.300 mhz. There are a number of nets that operate here, most notably the Maritime Mobile Service net form 12pm to 10pm ET followed by the Pacific Seafarers net. Generally a lot of people monitor this frequency and during net operations the net control will shift around the country and check ins are not strictly maritime mobile. They will call for mobile stations and portable. Since it's a network there will be a lot of stations listening and relays are very common to get weak signals. Also the Alaska Pacific Emergency Preparedness net on 14.292 at 1630Z every day . Very often the skip condintions here are very favorable to stations in the western us states and Hawaii.
