Hello from Ohio

Hello!!!! New here from near toledo Ohio. I have done some off-reading in the past and am now getting into over landing with the family. I have a 88 v20 suburban that is going to be me driver/project. Trying to plan our first overland vacation to Drummond island. Any help or words of wisdom is appreciated. Best time to go with kids and what all to expect. I have a lift on 35,s and a strong running 350 with a cam and a th400. Hoping that will get me by till I build and swap a 12valve NV5600 combo into it. Thanks in advance.
