Why Overlanding?: I love the outdoors, and getting there is half the fun. Though I’ve been an avid backpacker for years. Vehicle dependent travel is fairly new to me. I always used to drive my 4x4 in only to abandon it for the hike. But recently I have found new pleasures in being able to be a bit more comfortable at camp. I still love hiking and some places are only accessible that way. But for now, this is a new and exciting form of adventure for me. I feel right at home just escaping the bump and grind of the big city, for the peace and solitude of clean mountain air.

Hello Michael and welcome to the OB crew...nice Toy and look forward to seeing your adventures

Welcome from Austin, TX. I got started in Overlanding as a backpacker also. I still do shorter hikes, but use my vehicle to get me to much more exotic places.
