Hey all,

I'm a new member and a new (to me) 2004 Land Cruiser 100 series (technically LX470) with ~150k miles owner. About me: I live in Salt Lake City, from Georgia, and have been backpacking for decades. I'm now getting into overlanding as I have young children and still wanted to get out into the wild. I am a YouTube certified wrencher only but I've done most basic maintenance work on cars for a while (valve covers, alternators, any oil or coolant change / flush, etc.)

If anyone is around the SLC area and has experience with the LC100 platform I'm at a loss with a mysterious coolant leak. I've been chasing this thing for a few weeks now. I replaced the heater T's when I got the rig and they were definitely leaking a lot. That was ~400 miles ago. Including the replacement at the time of the heater T's change I've put in ~1 gal of coolant. I thought it might be air to start with as it was pretty low when I replaced the coolant after the heater T's but now I think it's been too much to say it was bleeding air. I've done two pressure tests (16psi ~15 min each) and two compression gas tests (one liquid and one sniffer at a local shop) and they're all normal. The front and rear water bypass seem OK, no leak at the water pump (replaced with TB ~25k ago by PO at dealer), nothing from the main hoses, cap looks good, PS floorboard seems dry, no puddles under the rig, and mild leaks around the original radiator but nothing to explain this. My overflow tank has dropped from full to empty in the last ~150 miles. Just did a UV dye test last night and don't see anything yet after full cycle of operating temp to cool. I'm totally lost!!! Any help is appreciated. Glad to be a member and I hope to meet up with the SLC/Utah folks soon.
