Group Buy Sub-Forum

Is there any chance we could get a group buy sub forum? We drive a wide variety of vehicles, but there are a lot items/companies that we could all shop from.

Companies that I've seen on Nissan/Toyota boards that would be good for us:
Gobi
Shrockworks
Wet Okole
Trasharoo
Front Runner

I love a good group buy. I've accidentally spent *way* too much over on the T4R.org group buy page. ;)

That being said, Overland Bound does not have any advertising or sponsors, nor has there ever been a group buy organized here. @Michael may be open to allowing members to organize a group buy and handle all of the arrangements, but probably not one directly through a dealer.

There have been a few pointers to other web site's group buys that have ben posted here. I just did that the other day on a Rotopax group buy.

I think most of the ones I've seen on thenewx have been organized by the members or folks that were members first and were hounded into putting their DIY project into production.

If @Michael is adament about keeping the forums sponsor/ad/vendor free, the sub forum could just be a place to put links to group buys in everyone's make/model forum of choice.

I do think official OB group buys could be a nice membership perk.
