I grew up in Shaver Lake, Ca. for those that are fimiliar from the off the grid rally's, then you know my home town. I grew up back packing, camping, fishing, rock climbing, kayaking and snowboarding the Sierra Nevadas. I always had a passion for off road driving but never seemed to be able to afford such toys.
I joined the military and received training in off road driving, and got a chance to travel the world. This only furthered my passion for off roading and gave me a wanderlust for travel.
I got my rig in 2012 with the intention of making it into an overland rig before I ever knew about the term. It is still very much a work in progress and some projects seem to turn into a version of "if you give a mouse a cookie". Now my dilemmas are my budget and trying to decide exactly what to purchase next on the long list of needs and wants.
