Dogs love RV Living also! Traveling with dogs can be difficult. But they get to be with you even more while discovering new sniffs, places and sticks to chew on! There are some things to consider.
We finally introduce you to our two dogs Blue and Zamboni. Going into their back stories, likes and dislikes. Towards the end of the video (Time Stamps)we go over pros and cons of RVing with pets. Continuing to explore the open desert we head over to Burro Schmidt Tunnel in the Mojave Desert. Carved all by hand taking over 33 years, this tunnel goes all the way through a mountain.
We enter the tunnel and show you what it's like on the inside and all the way through. On this adventure I have gotten pretty good at crashing our drone and Melissa finds a unique use for the GoPro. After spending a good amount of time exploring around the tunnel we cut back across the desert. Attempting to find another mine but the road conditions wouldn't cooperate.

In this video we explore Santa Barbara, California. Come along as we visit a great Atlas Obscura find, Knapp's Castle, then a giant fig tree, and finally bike along the Pacific Ocean. Our first stop is Knapp's Castle located in the Santa Barbara mountains, is an old ruin site. Rebuilding has started so make sure you get up there soon! We believe it will be a private residence soon. Stopping at the Santa Barbara train station to park the truck, we have a closer look at the Giant Fig tree that was planted many years ago. It's definitely a site to see. The hopping on the bikes after almost 5 months to cruise the boardwalk, is was a great day hope you enjoy the video!
This is one of our main reasons for RV living! Renting out our house and going full time saves us a lot of money on a monthly basis, which allows us to do more activities we love!
Heading up to our family cabin in Kernville, California, we get ready to hit the slopes! Just 20 minutes up the road from Wofford Heights is a small ski mountain know as Shirley Meadows or by it's official name, Alta Sierra. It has just two ski lifts and roughly 10 runs. They only open the slopes when they get enough fresh snow, so you'll have to time your skiing experience just right with the winter weather! This is California Snowboarding at it's finest, cheap lift tickets, and bluebird day with no lines!

RV Bike storage solution! Over the past year we have had our fair share of struggles with our bike's, keeping them secure and in good working condition. Obviously it makes sense to store the bikes in the toy box out of the weather. Wrapping them in furniture pads to keep them protected. Removing the front tires saving valuable space. Also showing you my new to me Specialized Camber mountain bike. Mountain biking is a sport that I am trying to get back into after a couple years off. I take the bike out for it's maiden voyage on a local trail in Southern California. Hope you enjoy the video and find some value! Thanks for watching.
I pretended to be a jeep! The RAM handles it's self very well but you defiantly cant change the size. At this event we take the RAM out wheeling with jeeps!
Xscapers is a group within the Escapees RV Club, geared towards newer generations of RVers. Dry camping at Xscapers Annual Bash was amazing. This was our first event and it did not disappoint.
Xscapers is a diverse community with active, adventurous RVers, that work while on the road full or part time! Located in Lake Havasu Arizona the annual bash is the largest event they do all year. Almost 400 RVs and 700 people converge to share laughs, gain knowledge, make friends and memories. This event (our first) is packed with fun activities such a boot camps, hiking, concerts, Olympics and seminars. This is a brief video of what to expect at the event. Hope you enjoy and if you haven't joined the club, you don't know what you are missing.

To be honest it wasn't that bad. Trailer/RV towing can be nerve racking for beginners, take it slow, be methodical and have a great teacher! Seek Discomfort people, it's the only way to grow! At the Xscapers annual Bash 2020 we took our full size RAM on a jeep trail. We joined fellow Xscapers to hit Redline jeep trail. The tow rig did pretty well and everyone was glad to have us along.
This was such an amazing way to jump right into meeting new people at the Xscapers Bash. Our tow rig has been highly modified for towing and off road performance, rock sliders, extra shocks and larger all terrain tires. This trail pushed us to the limit though, trying a couple different bonus lines we ended up needing a small tow strap tug! Everyone on the trail was great and happy to watch us give it a try. Looks like we might need new bumpers though.......we received some minor carnage. Hope you enjoy the video!

On our way to meet up with some fellow Xscapers we stop off at Truck Haven for some shut eye. The next day we find some free camping near Yuma Arizona, American Girl Mine to be exact.

Instantly being connected through off roading, they invited us down to boondock near American Girl Mine just north west of Yuma Arizona. Over the the next few days we did some exploring, off roading and smoked some delicious meats together. We also go to the valley of the names and drive to the bottom of American Girl mine, this is a fun one! Hope you enjoy!

This video is all about things to do in Yuma Arizona! It's a smaller town but has some great offerings. We start in downtown and then head over to the Yuma Territorial Prison.
In downtown Yuma there are many great small shops, bars and restaurants. Stopping in at Lute's Casino (restaurant) for some games and taking a minute to see all of the antiques/art on the walls. As the day goes on we walk through many shops, being Superbowl Sunday it's kind of a slower day. Then the real excitement starts! Yuma Territorial Prison is a great place to see and there is so much history about the area. Unfortunately Melissa and I forgot to do our homework (AKA watching 310 to Yuma). On the way back to camp we stop off at Glamis sand dunes and get some epic drone footage, hope you enjoy!

King of The Hammers 2020 is an offroad race that combines rock crawling and desert racing. They have multiple races throughout the week, UTV's, dirt bikes, trophy trucks, every man challenge (lower budget & car limitations) and the main event King of the Hammers. The racers can get up to 100 mph in the open desert and they are also built to crawl the rock sections at high speeds. We started spectating this race around 2009, we have had a great time every year. To keep it safe for spectators they have taped off certain areas, we do our best to get as much footage as possible. Considering that we live in our trailer full-time and Melissa couldn't make this trip I left the trailer with her, ill show you my new RV! Hope you enjoy this video!

Off Road Shock Tuning! In this video we drop some knowledge for beginners (me being one of them). We show you some of the basics of tuning your rebuild-able shocks.
Our RAM 2500 has a full Carli suspension setup but you really need to tune the shocks to your exact specifications. Meaning your driving style, how much gear you carry in your vehicle, as well as what comfort/performance you would like. There is no out of the box solution. Shock companies can get them close but there is always room for improvement. Hope you get some shock knowledge and basics out of this video!

While we were in Kern for Whiskey Flat Days we decided to share our knowledge of the area and take you on a tour. This area is an outdoor paradise with year round activities. Whiskey Flat Days is one of the most popular festivals in Southern California. This festival takes place in Kernville (Formerly Whiskey Flats), Where the town is taken over with vendors, carnival, rodeo, a parade and even a wild west encampment. Now that we have owned our RAM 2500 Cummins turbo diesel for almost 4 years we though it would be a great time to review it and show everyone our towing and off road setup. Plus we have been getting many questions, we thought it would be great to put all of the information into one place. This truck build is all about compromise and getting the best of both worlds, towing and great off road performance. Our truck has gone through many phases and with almost 75k on the odometer it has seen all different types of terrain. In this video we show you how to change your both of your fuel filters on your RAM 6.7 Cummins. These fuel filters are fairly easy to swap out and you can save money by doing it yourself. This job consists of two separate filters. One located in the engine bay and the other located in the rear of the truck above the drive shaft.
