Great Dispersed Camping in Fl

It is always great to get out on the trail. This past weekend the wife and I decided to get away for a night and we dispersed camp in Ocala National Forest along Hopkins Prairie. So cool, and this is near the Tread Lightly Jeep Badge of Honor trail and the Florida Adventure Trail. If you are in the area, check it out. We even made a short video -

Most Ocala area is open for dispersed camping except during hunting seasons. A little bit of Hopkins Prairie campground trivia, years ago there was a murder there.
These sort of things can get complicated in Florida so do a bit of research before heading out. Calling the local ranger office is the easy way out.
