Wow, with so many options available across the country, I would just avoid those disputed areas all together. Not worth the hassle.

theres going to be TWO types of people "protecting" land that isn't theirs...rednecks and liberals
the redneck doesn't want "outsiders" using the land, so when you drive up, have a Confederate flag in the back window and when talking to the redneck, answer everything he says with "I heard that!" and spit some tobacco on the ground. they will accept you as one of their own and give you access
the liberal doesn't want "anyone" to use the land, so when you drive up, have a Biden and/or rainbow sticker prominently displayed on your vehicle. having colored hair and piercings will help, but you can also just immediately start hollaring that you feel attacked and unsafe. get angry that you were misgendered and demand access to the land so that you can stage a protest on it against the patriarchy. access will be granted
