Ran the Gold Belt Byway and Phantom Canyon Road in July 2017. If you are not familiar with these routes, they are not technical and offer stunning scenery. Tunnels, bridges, canyons and creeks.

About: The Gold Belt Byway connects the Victor Mining District/Cripple Creek to the cities of Canon City, Florence, and Florissant via the historic travel route.

Yes, it is very simple. Honestly you will probably not be excited for the road condition as it is just that, a Road. If you’re looking to challenge yourself with minimal risk to your vehicle I’d recommend a different trail. However you shouldn’t be disappointed with the scenery and tunnels of the Gold Belt Byway.
