I am just getting started outfitting my 2020 Ram 1500 Classic to do some trips starting this summer. I just wanted to express my appreciation for this site and all of the contributions made by everyone it has been enormously helpful and I am very impressed with this community excited to join it. I am based in BC and will be looking to connect with the western Canada groups once I get my rig set up. Again many thanks!

Welcome from So Cal. I would not be spending a ton of money as you start out. Go get out first, what you get today, maybe not be the thing that fits your style. Meet up with other in you area and pick their brain. Just because it looks good hanging off you truck, may not work on the trails you are on. If you are only getting out 3 times a year, do you need a RTT, or whatever. I think of RV's you can find a used 10 year old that has 20,000 miles on it that cost $100,000.00.

Very true and I fully agree with your wise words. We already get out quite a bit mostly just camping and kayaking with overnighting half of the time. But I am definitely taking a slow slow approach to things
