I did the eastern half a few weeks ago. Going back next week to do some more. But, the plan is to spend more time fishing for trout. You shouldn't have any issues finding dispersed camping. (Some places to fill up on the weekend though)
I did east to west in June of 2019. Camped 2 nights, sites were easy to find but that may have changed due to the pandemic rush.

Might have to take the family on this for a weekend, looks like it would be a good trip (even for the '01 WJ - I'd prefer to take the T4R but can't at the moment).
