Upgraded rear springs to OME 895' from stockers/spacer. Left the Gabriel shocks on there to see how it rides and it feels controlled back there over speed bumps. There is no continued bounce when jumping up and down on the bumper etc.

I understand the 5100s are made to handle 2" of lift which is about where I'm at over stock. But what does that really mean or do?

I have the 5100s, just reluctant to install them just because. What say you guys?

Without knowing the stock shock's collapsed and extended length and the new shock's collapsed and extended length I don't know.

Did you test it with your rig fully loaded or pulling a trailer? Thats where the difference lies.

The Bilstein 5100's are intended to manage heavier loads than your stock units. Bilstein makes a non 5100 for OEM height, but the units that AEV and OME use are for 1.5" - 3" of lift. I run 5100's and really like two things. FIrst, when I am using it as a DD (plenty of weight with a roof rack, skids, AEV bumpers) and empty, I have a great ride. When I am loaded down I have an even better ride.
