I haven't, but it should be just fine so long as you're aware of the vehicle's limitations and your own as a driver.

I run a 2005 Escape, its honestly quite capable. When I start outfitting it for camping Ill do a small build thread. Also check out the Small Vehicle Overlanding (SVO) thread here. Theres TONS here running cross over SUVs and tons of good tips.
