That looks like a royal pain. Definitely in the "last resort" column.

What gets me is someone who would go out-n-about, get stuck and have all the tools and rope necessary to make one of these (axe/saw for the logs; sledge hammer or sharpshooter for the stakes and so on) yet doesn't have a boat trailer crank or come along winch. Either of those two take up very little space.
