First trip down

  • Guest, we will be conducting site maintenance August 4th and some downtime is expected. At this time Rally Point and the Member Map will also become an app-only feature for long-term security and stability. A few days after this maintenance, a major upgrade revision to the forum site will occur.

Well the rtt cherry is busted! Finally got to take the overlander XL out for a spin. Upto visit my Son in Rexburg, from Boise. Spent a few days at the Twin Bridges campground. Not the most off the beaten path but great for a field test. I must have not messed up the install too badly. The Mrs. really appreciated the newer ladder and the extra mattress. The own ladder was too short, as the rack sits 7 1/2 ft off the ground.
Great views, starry skylights, a 12v fan and a TV tray for drinks, snacks and it was almost better than the last BnB we stayed at. Mosquitos were persistent, but the temps ranged from mid 50s in the AM to mid 80s in the afternoon. All in all a perfect test run. Now to justify some modding ideas for the rack... it will probably never end...
