February trip ideas...

Just trying to think up / plan a trip somewhere for February time frame. From Wi and just looking for ideas for a place to go with sites to see and off-road a bit. I know most the country will be covered in snow and be cold. But looking to go pretty much anywhere and explore around a bit. Anyone got ideas for me?

I would suggest either go southwest or southeast if you want more favorable weather. It also depends on your sleep setup and gear if you want to stay in colder climates so you stay warm and your offroad experience in snow/ice conditions you may encounter. Also keep in mind that fewer people tend to travel on trails during the winter in most areas due to adverse conditions and inclement weather. Things to consider for your preparations!
