Why: So we can all learn and share!
Hosted by our good friends at Equipt Expedition Outfitters in SLC. The evening will include a Hi-Lift Jack training session with Joel German of Legacy Offroad Recovery Training, an intro to recovery gear and strategy with Jackson Philby of OLT4x4, and a hands-on tire repair class with Kurt Williams (me). We will cover safe use of a Hi-Lift (and other) vehicle lifting jacks, how to plug and patch a typical off-road damage to a tire, repair a tire valve stem and spend a bit of time getting comfortable with the basics of modern recovery gear. These are 'whet the appetite' classes that hopefully assist you in determining what skills and knowledge you may need to spend more time practicing. We'll have all the necessary gear for you to check out, feel free to bring what you carry and we can look that over too. The only thing you need to bring is a camp chair and a pair of gloves!
