Hello. I am looking at planning an off road/camping trip for my family next summer 2026. My rig will be done by then and my wife will have her jeep. I am not looking at any super difficult trails but some good trails that will require 4x4 but will be easy enough to take my family on. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions that can send my way that would be great. Thank you.

We had a lot of fun on Rollins Pass. Buff Pass near Steamboat was cool too. :). Lots of great stuff everywhere.

I checked out Red Canyon Park just outside of Cañon City today. It had a pretty well groomed dirt road going up to the site. I didn’t need 4 x 4 to get there. There are a variety of trails and picnic sites and little campsites. It looks like it would be nice for a family outing.

Good evening. I am taking a year to plan out a Colorado trip for next May/June. My plan is to base camp in Ouray for 4 nights then jet over to Colorado Springs for another 4. In Ouray what passes can be done leaving out of Ouray that will make it easy to get back to camp once complete? Thanks in advance.
