Extending plug and play wires

I'm currently running 4" LED cubes on my front bumper via a plug and play wires set. Does anyone have experience extending the wires so you can move the lights? I'm trying to move them from the bumper to the windshield without having to wire them to a separate harness and switch.

Reason being, I bought 6" KC lights that fit better on the bumper than they do on the windshield.

Just match the gauge and add however much length you need by splicing in near the lights. No need to mess with the connections if all you need is more length. Use heat shrink connectors or wrap for weather protection.
