While Visiting my Dad in Alabama I mentioned thinking about getting a Bed Cap for camping and possible cross country traveling. Well leave it to the horder himself to have an old maybe 1970's Aluminum Cap laying in the back field. I brought it home and decided it needed a little insulation. 3/4" R5 Foam Board and two layers of R3 Reflectix.

The old oxidized white paint just wasn't cutting it. Super humid, borderline raining weather is perfect for painting right??? Its closer to matching the truck, and thats the outcome I wanted.

I have to trim the rear hatch glass frame. It hangs down 3/4" to overlap the 1970's-80's tailgates. Trimming that tonight and painting it. Hopefully installing tomorrow. Along with building a bed platform.

Took the Truck to the Blue Ridge Parkway near Ashville, NC. to watch the Eclipse. Camper shell was worked perfectly. Finally got the new gas struts for the side and rear window yesterday, so they'll go on soon.

Got the last pieces to my RTT Bed rack in the mail today as well. I will update with photos after I clean my garage enough to actually do some or work in it.

Finished up the bed mounts for the Bed Rack and got the rack mocked up. Got to add a couple gusset brackets on the inside of the frame and grind off a couple little tabs on the end and she'll be ready to mount.

Weatherproofed my bed platform. Just waiting on my 80/20 material to show up to build the drawers. Front hatch will need a support and I still have to install the two supports at the rear of the platform but I'm done working in the rain for today.
