Essential gear overlanding adventure

I have the radio, so far, I like it. I got mine on a group buy.
The locator beacon is something I often wonder if I should have. There are cheaper ones out there then that one, and they all supposedly work the same. I have an InReach coming, and I know it’s not the same technology as a personal locator beacon. Peace of mind is worth quite a bit of money.

A little specific on the brands and such. I prefer a long handled shovel for getting under the tires but to each his own. Something I don't much see on essential lists are good navigation tools and a set of common smarts.

I don't know I would consider a winch and bumper to be as essential as a the first aid/trauma kit that wasn't listed at all. I'd argue winches and high lifts should come with trauma kits standard. Most of your hurts come from recovery.

Common sense > highlift+winch+snatchstrap

my experience tells I need recovery gear when the common sense isn't working :)
