In another year, when I was young and had big tires on my little Blazer, someone stopped me and asked, "Do you mud?" I said, "Well, of course!" They replied, "Darn."

Never knew what that meant until I read the intrinsic dignity of our planet and how Pope Francis writes about a beautiful planet, our home.

My article is a nod to him and others who would ask the tough questions.

Theres plenty of mud thats of no value to the environment, in any way. Plenty of wasted swamp land to wheel in.

Earth day just another day for teachers to brainwash kids into following the corporate leash of economic slavery. A shining beacon of crackpot science.

"Yay, more rampant consumerism. But its ok, since I recycled the plastic it came in!"
"I bought a new car. It get 2mpg more than the previous one."

It had a net negative effect on our environment.

I dont have the patience to go over the pope in a nice manner. He was a hypocrite, behind giant walls and massive air conditioning. Old men who havent set foot in the workplace recently anywhere, shouldnt be preaching about economics and environmental science. Another negative for the environment.

Extra points for this blog most likely flowing through a 500 megawatt data center. Even the clean green natural gas power plants, that I build for said data centers, laugh at the irony.

Wow, this is an interesting perspective. I’d love to understand how you got to this conclusion.

As someone who works in forest management, where I actively manage forests for timber, wildlife, wildfire fuels reduction and general forest health i couldn’t disagree more.

We only get one of these planets to live on. Just like faith in religion (which is sometimes more relatable) we must believe that we have an impact and we can conserve and protect our limited resources and home. Thats inherently easier to believe and understand than most aspects of religion in my opinion.

What benefit do you get from being overly consumptive and destructive?

Not to say I don’t consume or have a negative impact but being mindful is critical to understanding that there is more out there than just me.

Is buying a 4x4 and all the stuff and fuel and everything else for “overlanding” not consumerism or economic slavery? How does your CC balance look after that mod? Ive been more places in a stock rig than most of the built vehicles I’ve seen will ever go. The industry is telling you what you need not your experience.

I enjoy backcountry travel in my rig but the experience is significantly more rewarding when you turn off the motor and experience what’s out there under your own power.

I don’t expect or sway you in your perspective but there is more to our world than you may realize. ✌️
