What would your dream custom offroad trailer look like?

Let's say you had an unlimited budget but it had to stay under 6.5 feet wide, 16 feet long (tongue to tail), and under 3,500 pounds.

What features would you put onboard?
What type of suspension would you install?
Would it be solid body or have extensions?
Would you want sleeping quarters inside or in a rooftop tent?
What type of power would you need?
Solar, generator, etc?
How many people would it have to sleep?
Would you want a shower inside or outside?

The sky's the limit... what do you think?

I'm going with a HummV trailer, independent suspension, to hold basecamp necessities like rack mounted tent, water, generator, propane, water heater, sink, stove, supplies & food. Just need to put it together now... [emoji3]

I'll play since I'm trying to find a trailer that fits my wants right now anyway and can't quite. At least from what I've found.

-Hard bodied trailer with queen sized main sleeping quarters that's always ready so when getting to camp later we can hop right in and go to bed. -RTT or pop outs enough to hold up to 3 kiddos and be able to plumb heat from main cabin up to the tent.
-a fully stocked and always ready kitchen with fridge/freezer, sink with hot and cold running water, grill and counter space to cook. Again always ready with no setup needed.
-timbren off-road suspension with 35" tires. A front storage box for thing like dog food, wood, or just dirty shoes from hiking or whatever.
-heat and A/C. The heat needs to be able to be run to the upper tent and be able to supply enough heat to heat an enclosed wrap around awning.
-as noted above needs to be able to have a fully enclosed wrap around awning and under the awning another small enclosure for restroom/shower duty. As well as a hot shower hook up on the outside to be able to take a hot shower inside the awning enclosure.
-storage for a cartridge style toilet
-20gallons fresh water storage with the same in grey water
-Freeze protection for the water tanks
-speakers both inside and outside with Bluetooth capability
-storage inside the main cabin for clothes for a weeks worth of travel
-wireless full surround camera system so when trailering in tight quarters can see all sides of the rig.
-skylight to bee the stars
-be strong enough to handle the rigors of off-road travel

I think that's all. Actually I'm sure theres more but that's all I can think of right now.

I'd get one of the Patriot Trailers from Australia. There are similar ones made in USA, but I don't like the design as much.

What I like is that they are self contained everything you need but the enclosed space. I'd get an awning, and maybe the tent component, but the big thing is having everything at hand ready to go and live and cook outside.

I have a small trailer I use for camping, and once I beef up the tires and suspension, I'll use if for overlanding too.

Love your list, those are some great ideas! The cameras would be awesome for those sketchy night adventures too.
Digging the bluetooth stereo and speakers.
What do you like about the Timbren off-road suspension?
How about an indoor toilet/shower combo? That way you could "Go, on the go".

Well I don't want the trailer to get too large so no indoor toilet/shower. I'd be happy with an outdoor setup.

As for the timbren. I always feel like the trailer is more likely to tip on off camber situations and having the independent suspension would either help this or give me the piece of mind that a high side bump shouldn't push the trailer over its tipping point. I'd also like to have air bags on the timbren a so that the pressure can be adjusted as needed.

What do you like about the Patriot over some of the others in the US?

Just the extent of the organization and kitchen features. I haven't seen anything made here that comes close.
