Y'know those little air freshener trees? Stock up on vanilla scented. Squirrels/rats don't like 'em. They've left our rigs alone since we found this out.

Edit: yes, I hang them in the engine bay, and put the "used" ones in my glovebox.

Thanks for the info someone here can surely use it. My barn cats keep squirrles and rats away, a 22lr takes care of the rest of the varmints. The squirrled and rats were only bad when i lived in indianapolis and i couldnt shoot em.
