ok im not the most technically savvy person. but the dstar dv blue was something i figured out in time. but this dmr situation has me scratching my head. i had a friend help me getting through my tablet . my new laptop (win10) came in today and i have been trying to get the hotspot duplex mmdvm working through it. the laptop has a sim card and is a laptop not just a net book. if someone that knows what they are doing would could take the time i be willing to pm my number for some phone tech support. thank you in advance.

Have you watched the Brisgecom videos on setting up the SkyBridge? The process is the same for all PiStar based MMDVMs. If your MMDVM isn’t based on the PiStar software, the process is similar, but pass words and usernames will be different.
Can you get to the MMDVM screen on your laptop?

no. its not coming up. its like there a setting some where that im missing.

It might be your fire wall. Are you sure you are typing in the correct IP Adress for the MMDVM?

any idea what i might need to allow to see if that the problem?

You need to find your MMDVM on your network then copy the IP address to access the MMDVM… the easiest way is to bring up the command prompt and type “ipconfig” this will bring up everything on your network.

ok now i have the hot spot showing on my available network list and can open the dashboard. but while connected to it i have no internet availability. once i close the connection i can use my browser.

You have to type the MMDVM IP adress into your browser address bar. You can’t click an icon to connect to the device to change settings. It has to be done in your web browser.

@kc5hwb has a great video tutorial on setting it all up. Everything I know about DMR I learned from Jason and Josh.
