As my wife and I increase the length of our trips we find the need to have a little freezer space. Here’s how I modified our ARB fridge to work as both a fridge and a freezer.

Proper testing will come shortly. Thoughts?

I didn't cut my basket, yet did add a XPS divider as you did. Works better okay in my mind, not great.. It's temperature swing and to keep items frozen tends to make upper section too cold. We use it to aid length of time for frozen items (not to freeze).

Reality is they are small units and we still re-supply every 3-4 days. We tend not to buy frozen foods as we travel, so as continue along I pull the divider out and just run as refrigerator.

Looking forward to your thoughts as you use it!

P.S. Last trip ( ~8500 miles) we used these insulated bags my niece gets her food delivered in. Frozen stayed frozen almost as long in those and placed in the bottom. Temp we left as we normally do. I like these insulated bags! Best part was we could fold them up and stow them easily.
