I recently started building a overland trailer for some gear and our rooftop tent. Since I got lots of tips and ideas from the forum here, I thought I might as well show mine here too.

I used a 2000lbs axle, it has the same bolt pattern and is only a inch and a half narrower then my Jeep. It was cheap so if it doesn’t proof to be holding up we will just swap it out.

The tub is gonna be built out of plywood since easy to work with and is cheap. I decided on a swing out tailgate on the back and a fold down one in the front. The lid and rack is removable in case I want to use as a utility trailer.

It’s still a project in progress so tips are welcome!

Not much changed since last time I posted except for some small things and a vin number. Last week we were able to take her out on a 2 night trip. We just did some back road gravel roads and some side dirt roads and it pulled just fine!

Next on the list will be attaching my cheap diy awning.
