Dispersed Camping in NC/SC/GA

Looking for some dispersed camping spots that have hiking close by. I’m looking to take a solo trip the week of Christmas and with Covid chaos everywhere I won’t be trying to go to super popular spots. Thinking something in the great Great Smoky Mountain Forest/Nantahala Forest.

In N Ga everything is crowded. Hopefully the cold stays and the dispersed sites open up a bit. You can try the Nimblewill and Suches areas as well.

Most of my time spent in N Ga is in Rayburn County there is a lot of well hidden places away from the general public.
