Death Valley Trip

Hey guys,

I'm planning a trip to Death Valley with my friends and some of us have dogs. The national park website seems strict about having dogs in the wilderness areas. We really want to camp near Barker Ranch and I wanted to reach out to the community to see if anyone else has experience camping with their pup in that area of the park. Is it permitted? Are we better off camping on BLM outside of Death Valley? Thanks in advance!

Looks like you may need to plan to fall back to the BLM land, which is close. I don't have any personal experience camping out there, even though I lived in the neighboring town of Trona during my childhood. Used to drive past this area often. I hope to go back with my vehicle to explore someday soon.

We just got back from there and had our dog. He’s a little guy and stayed on his leash the whole time.
