We spent 4 nights in DV just a few weeks back...
Here is a photo dump of the trip.

DAY 1-Drove from Northern California to Trona Pinnacles with three other OB members and explored there for an hour or two before driving into the park and making Camp off the Minietta Mine Rd. The weather was pleasant with not much wind, probably because we were tucked against a mountain looking east to the Panamint Range.

DAY 2-Woke early to a beautiful sunrise over the Panamint Range, took our time breaking camp and headed to Ballarat Ghost town where we explored for an hour or so. We then drove south to Goler Wash and had a beautiful drive up the Canyon to Barker Ranch before driving to Panamint Springs and met with the larger group. Had a great lunch and beverages on the patio deck at the Panamint Springs Restaurant and stayed at the campground across the street.

DAY 3-Woke up to another beautiful sunrise (they all are in DV) and spent the first part of the day checking out the Panamint Dunes and Zbreskie Point before several of us broke off from the group and headed to Geologist's Cabin in the Striped Butte Valley. The trail was long and rough but crossing Mengel Pass was worth it. The cabin was occupied but we found a great camping spot just east of there. The winds kicked up at about 3 a.m. and lasted an hour or two.

DAY 4-Headed out and north to Saline Hot Springs. This was a VERY rough road but the sunset made it absolutely worth it!

DAY 5-Up early and headed north to the road that leads to Lone Pine. Wandered up 395 which had amazing views of the snow covered Sierra.

Great time with great folks!
