I am looking to run a Dana 44 on a jeepster with leaf springs. The jeep is driven on the passenger side for the front axle. Does anybody know what I will have to do to make it fit the frame is based off a cj platform.

If you are staying spring under the axle, early full size Cherokee/wagoner had 44 front axles. they were 60.5" wide and is almost a bolt in. I narrowed a full width jeep truck front axle for my YJ. What's the track width of a jeepster? I'll try to answer your questions as best as I can. I've narrowed 5 full width 44's, depending on the finished axle width you can use off the shelf shafts(non-custom), Ron
