Crowds

With the holiday weekend coming up I want to get out and do some camping and star gazing. My problem is that here in Iowa the only place you can camp is in campgrounds. So my question is am I not a good overlander if I don't want to be around the crowds that are packed in these campgrounds?

Tennessee is pretty much the same way, we usually travel with a couple other families, and stay in State Parks were the Parkers Rangers enforce a quiet time usually around 10pm to 8am.

The only people I like to be around is the ones who can be quiet around the camp fire, lol.

Wow I guess we are real lucky here in Cali...in the respect of camping any way, we can just head out and camp almost any where!

I really want to move to a place that is more remote or at least close to those areas. If I knew I could find a job I would be gone already.
