Corral Hollow Day Trip 11/12/17 - 11/12/2017

We are planning a day trip to Corral Hollow this Sunday 11/12/17. Our plan is to do the normal approach from the east side, enjoy the view and then decide which way we want to return. We will be meeting at the Starbucks in Angeles Camp at the corner of Hwy 4 and 49, 27 N. Main Street, A, Angels Camp, CA 95221, at 10am. If you live in the East Bay we can coordinate a place to meet before this location. There may be some snow so please be prepared.

Does anyone know how soon we will be able to get out there this Spring? Would mid May be a fair assumption?

Looking at the USFS Interactive map, most if not all FS roads in the Sierra's are closed until April 15th. It'll depend on the snow pack but you'll probably do ok in May.

Mid May is optimistic for Corral. The trail tops out over 8k feet. And we're getting lots of spring snow currently. Plus plenty of shaded spots on the trail that hold snow.
