I’m running 37x13.5x17s in my Jeep Gladiator, and have struggled with where to mount my spare tire. I looked at swing mounts on the rear bumper (expensive). And bed mounts (takes up way too much space). The ideal location is under the truck where the stock spare mounts. It keeps the weight low to help offset some of the weight up high (rooftop tent).
The issue with trying to mount a 37 under the bed is that it pushes into the track bar, severely limiting the flex of the rear axle.
Matt from Ozark Overland Adventures mentioned an adjustable rear track bar from Clayton Off Road that has a bend in it to clear a 37” spare!
I looked into it, purchased one, and it works great. It is also much stronger and heavier than the stock track bar.
Anyways, thought I’d share a $250 option to mount a large spare on a JT vs spending $1000 plus for a bumper mount.
