The DSSV shocks are amazing, both on road and off you get outstanding performance. The diesel has a low end torque and range advantage over the gas V6, the gas has the mid to high speed advantage. I drove both before going with a gas version. I wanted the weight advantage of a extended cab gas engine plus a six foot bed. So far I have not found a trail I couldn't drive.

You Tube's "420 Motors" has the best vids of ZR2's, Raptor and TRD's on real trails with real world action.

I'm impressed with the performance out of a 220 cu in motor. I did not like the transmission shift programing from the start. I bought a Pedal Commander the first month I owned the truck, it made a substantial improvement. A year later I bought the Trifecta tune and sold the PC. The tune has two mode ECO and SPORT, ECO is basically stock engine with much improved trans performance. Sport gives you a increase from bottom end to top. Either mode can smoke the rear tires, lot more fun in the sand dunes.

I've only had one issue with this rig, it had a load tic from the day I bought it and was told it was normal. I knew it wasn't normal and after a 1000 miles it was much loader and never really got quiet. Again I'm told it's normal for this engine. I finally got the service manager to listen to my truck along side a brand new truck and hear the difference, they replaced a collapsed lifter the following day. Been great since then.

Lot of owners have the trans shutter so I added a product called "Shudder Fix" to the trans and no problems, may just be coincidence.

The truck is easy to work on, I've changed out all lighting to LED's, added a lot of LED lighting, 4 relays added, DRL harness and switch backs, added front camera and a sub to the BOSE. Electrical system has been perfect.

Undercarriage has full skids plus rear shock skids, 12-s warn, and MA tie rod sleeves. The thing is a frigging billy goat, it goes until it's on the skids in deep snow. Best truck I've ever owned. Rant off.
