Brand new OB member from Florida Panhandle and excited to be here. My name is Steve and my rig is a 72 FJ40 restomod that has owned me for a couple of years now.

I’ve got a fair amount of wheeling experience but very new to overlanding. Loving it so far and looking forward to some incredible experiences in God’s spectacular creation. Still trying to get my wife used to climbing up and down the ladder to the RTT in the middle of the night.

Nice rig! I live in navarre

Thanks, Wildlee. Spend any time on the Eglin range? I’ve just barely dipped my toe in it, but would love to do some exploring.

Same here just found another thread. A fellow member has dropped gps coordinates and has built a “trans eglin” route.

Welcome aboard, and thats an awesome rig man.
I gotta say I miss that part of the US. I was at NAS Pensacola in 04 for training and explored a bit of Alabama and Mississippi. The Gulf Coast is a special place for sure.

Thanks! Where are you now? We’d love to have you back!

Sweet rig. I'm looking for a warm place to go in the winter. I've never been that far west on the panhandle. How's the wheeling down there?

This is God’s country over here, from beaches to woodlands. We certainly don’t have the wheeling opportunities of our western brethren but we’ve got plenty of trails to keep us occupied. Just not many rocks or hills! Beautiful country.

I'm back where I belong, in the Inland Northwest. While I love the Gulf Coast, I love it here more. Someday I'll make it back for a visit.

The Pacific coast is amazing too. If it wasnt for the high cost of living I would be there for sure. Also in the Inland Northwest its a lot easier for a heavy duty equipment and truck mechanic to make a good living.
