Cell signal booster

Wondering if anyone runs a cell booster in their rig?
If so is it worth it?
Looking into them for the wife's piece of mind on being able to call someone incase of emergency.

Here in Colorado and in Utah, once in the back country, they do little or no good. You pretty much need to have line of sight to a tower and once in the hills/mountains, you rarely have that. If you want emergency communications, get a SPOT or the equivalent satellite communicator. The nicer ones give you texting capability.

Other than that, a SAT phone is your best bet. You can usually find a used one fairly cheap and only maintain a minimal monthly service fee.
