12/10/14 Took home a meticulously maintained 2007 Voodoo Blue FJ. Just a hair over 100k miles, 4x4, never off road, factory locker + A-trac, all bone stock! Even had OEM running boards. Threw on a spacer lift , Bobby Mount Chop (BMC Poway special) , and 285/75/17 (33.8") Nitto Terra Grappler G2 and I was off !

This builds Primary use is a Reliable DD that can get me anywhere I want and home at the end of the weekend. Just a Build for camping, road trips, and exploring with the pup (Ozzy) and Family/Friends.
Not looking to PreRun the Baja 1000 or race KOH although I am trying to make it strong and reliable enough to hit some fun terrain! ;)

Here are some pics from my recent trip to Anza Borrego:

Anza Borrego - San Diego's Hidden Gem

This Saturday I decided to go on an Adventure with Ozzy (Adventure Corgi/Lab Mix). Over the last 4+ years i've been exploring Anza...... Fast forward 4+ years and I still can't get enough!
Currently located in San Marcos, CA. I have a quick ~1:30 drive to Anza Borrego / Ocotillo Wells. Over the last couple of years I've made too many trips to count. This weekend I last-minute decided to head out to the north end of Anza Borrego State Park.

Dropping down into Anza Borrego from Julian

Ozzy saying Hi to the camera while I got a couple of pics with the Anza Borrego State Park sign...

The trip started off at "Buttes Pass" which leads to Hawk Canyon. Hawk Canyon is a VERY popular spot to camp. Didn't get any pictures. It was packed with any and ever car imaginable. It's very easy to access with even a Honda Civic ;)

Ozzy out enjoying the cool morning temps while I was airing down the tires to 20psi

I always like to run my Dust Lights (Baja Designs S2 Pro Flood/Work Amber) when cruising around on the trails. It is much easier to recognize other vehicles in poor conditions. These are tiny and double as a camp light when setting up or tearing down camp.
Don't want to ruin a desert trip by getting rear ended by another rig in the group.

One of the many areas where Ocotillo Wells SVRA meets Anza Borrego State Park

Slowly made our way towards coyote canyon. Didn't have a chance to take too many photos

Cruising back I decided to camp in Inspiration Wash. Got the perfect view at Inspiration Point. Fun Fact: 4 Years go exact I camped in the same spot for the first time. It was my second or third trip to the desert
Lots of pics to follow of camp .....

And finally some flex shots in the morning before the camera battery died. Putting that Total Chaos Fabrication and Fox 2.5 suspension components to work

Awesome FJ and I love the pup. I've seen your rig and trip photos over on ExPo and I'm glad you've made it over to this community!

Great rig! I like the fridge cage. I have been contemplating the arb transport cover for my fridge but haven't invested yet. Would you say it's worth the money?

Thanks! The cover is definitely worth it without the cage. It helped protect it from any scuffs and also helps insulate it.
Can't really say it's still worth it now that I have the cage. Will probably still keep it on

Whats everyone running for winches? Just picked up a Superwinch :sunglasses:
I'm running a bulldog 10k winch. Only reason is because it was a Christmas gift. Had I purchased one it would have been a warn 12k buy the bulldog works great for the limited times I've had to use it.

Tuffy Security Console - Installed
Custom Fridge Cage - Installed
Superwinch TS9500SR - Coming Soon
Goose Gear Floor Plate & Drawer - Coming Soon

....

OP Updated... A few things added and removed. VERY happy with how my current setup is and can't wait for the goose-gear plate system and drawers.

Some may say the rig is overbuilt but I like to put quality products that serve a purpose. I can safely say that most (key word most) mods have a specific purpose. A few things just look cool haha
