Spontaneity Check!!! I'm having withdrawals, after OTG :-)

Any So Cal'ers up for a Big Bear overnighter this weekend (Oct 1st & 2nd)? Open for suggestions as to what trails/camp spots. Meet Friday night late. or Saturday morning early. Back Sunday night.

Would also consider a desert trip (Joshua Tree/Anza Borrego)

I'm tempted, big Bear would be perfect in this heat, but too many commitments this weekend at home.
Joshua tree would still be too hot I imagine?

Maybe next time. I'm committed to going out more often :-)

I thought so too about Joshua Tree, but...

I always like Holcomb Valley, but so do my other 10,000 friends. I can usually find something up there relatively far enough away. I've heard if some yellow post sites but never been to any.
Lots of trails to discover too back there. Stop by the discovery center for a decent map.

15th & 16th I'm going on a Nor Cal trip to Northern Nevada. I've been to the Del Mar Show. You have a booth there?
 
Im new here, but if i didn't have my midterm due this sunday and a midterm to take on tuesday I would have loved to join you. Never been wheeling in Big Bear, and Ive been meaning to shoot some milky way pictures in Joshua Tree. Maybe next time

Sounds good. I was thinking of hopefully/maybe sometime within the next 2 weeks. I don't know of any trails out there though. The only times Ive been out to the area was to take some pictures or to explore on my feet.
