Beartooth is pretty amazing. Here are some pics form 2018 coming out of Yellowstone NE entrance, Cooke City to Clay Butte, WY and then to Beartooth. Two days after I camped up there, there was a group of hikers who had a close encounter with two bears. They were separated at the time of the attack. Took a couple hours to get him airlifted out since they were a few miles from their vehicles and at least another 20-30mins from cellphone range. Investigation said it looked as if the bears were protecting a food source an the bears were never identified by rangers.
