I know this topic is stale, but I'll put my two cents in: I would check with the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry - Southern Region to see what they have to say.

I would think the MNR wouldn't allow camping on beaches as a rule. Can't hurt to ask though, can it? Maybe borrow a friends phone ;)
