Has anybody built custom mounts for the side of their roof basket? I want to be able to lock them securely but also be easily removable. Any thoughts or ideas on this is greatly appreciated!

I have a couple of hard plastic blocks I got from Tapp Plastics, hopefully I can rig something up with those...hmm.

I'm working on a similar deal....
I've got some pieces of 1/4" steel that I'm gonna make work with a few bits and bolts.

What type of rack do you got..... Or what are you thinking of mounting to?

I just have a cheap rack from Walmart I think it's a Reese. I want to mount it right to the side of the basket, but I'd like it to be adjustable so if I build a new basket I can use it. Make it as universal as I can you know?

If you put on a pair of backing plates, you could probably use a Qucikfist to hold the tool. Only downside will be ensuring your tool didn't get stolen
